1) Is it ethical to experiment with animals? Why or Why not?
Whether the experiment is ethical or not really depends on the type of experiment, but using the animals in experiments is definitely unpreventable in order to achieve a new research. In my opinion, most of the experiments on animals are unethical. Such as Harrow’s experiment on monkey to test “love”, is obviously unethical. The experiments result comes out terrifying. Most of the monkeys in Harlow’s experiment were really violence, scratch themselves or others. Some of them do not have a “normal” relationship with others, such as mating with its sisters or brothers. Even though animals are not human, they should be respected for they live in the same environment as us and deserve the respect. They may not know how to speak, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have thoughts or feelings, they have their way to express themselves. They are a life too.
2) Can Psychology or psychological research be dangerous?
Psychology or psychological research can be dangerous, it involves human minds, how does it work and why. People can use the knowledge from psychology to achieve their own desires and therefore harming it mentally. Many of the psychology researches were used in WWI and WWII, many people becomes the victim of it, and being tortured mentally. Psychology still remains in the new section of science and that means there are many unknowns ahead of us to research, these research may go wrong or success, but is the unknown that makes it fearful and unsafe.

yea i remember watching the video in class. the "love" test was really unethical.. the monkey was so terrified when it saw the clinging robot thing. as i was watching the video i kept thinking 'why would they do an experiment so brutal on a baby monkey who doesnt have its mom's love or protection?' the topic about testing love was interesting, but the way they experiemented wasnt ethical. so yea i agree with your point. good example :D
