Experiment:
Half of the students will be given the pill that enhances short term memory and mental awareness while the other half will be given a pill that does nothing. This is to remove the possibility of faking a result. Students will then be entered into a short course that none of them have taken. Perhaps a history lesson of a foreign country. The students will then be given a test on the subject. If the students that take the pill score higher than those that did not then the pill is effective.
